Victoria Mbithi is an experienced legal professional with 15+ years of extensive knowledge in the principles and practice of commercial, corporate, and financial legal advisory, management and procedure. She has extensive experience providing strategic legal counsel to corporations, individuals and government, providing proactive business-focused advice across various industries and jurisdictions. She has successfully handled several diverse financial and commercial contractual transactions, from concept, due diligence, and negotiation to contract and financial close to support the strategic business activities of her clients. In addition, she has experience handling matters on intellectual property protection, data privacy and protection, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border financing, competition and consumer protection, employment and labour relations, and dispute resolution, among other legal services.
Victoria also provides corporate advisory services, including environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) compliance, regulatory compliance, risk management, data privacy and protection, corporate finance, corporate restructuring, board advisory, company secretarial and compliance audit services to mitigate the client’s legal risk exposure. Her advisory services include transaction advisory, transaction advisory under public-private partnerships, private equity and venture capital transactions. She is also a conveyancer with a wealth of experience handling high-value real estate developments, acquisition, and disposal of land.
Victoria is the Commercial and Corporate Law Lead at Kidenda, Onyango, Anami (KONAN) & Associates Advocates. She is the key reference point for all commercial and corporate briefs the firm handles. She is responsible for directing, managing, and mentoring a team of well-trained associates to provide clients with seamless, expert, and strategic legal advisory services. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Master of Laws degree in Computer and Communications Law from the Queen Mary, University of London, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
